So, I tend to just have Americans and them fighting each other. Of them all the Americans, Wehrmacht and PE are the most active AIs. so, word of advice: you don't usually wanna have a AI Brit for a team-mate, they'll be dead-weight with you doing most of the work. Of special note: the British AI is the poorest, it's usually very passive, it'll be liberal with it's artillery usage if you're super defensive and it goes arty doctrine though. Sometimes the AI will also get desperate at the last minute and send everything it has to cap a Vic point if you're playing that mode (I usually do), having said that, it also appears to play very differently in that mode compared to Annihilation. If that isn't the case, it'll retreat it's units back and repair, especially seeing a hard counter unit of your's.Īnd if you have a whole area on complete lock-down with tank-traps and barbed wire etc, it'll tend to sit back and 'poke' you, skirmishing. Other times, it won't care and will just zerg rush your position, loosing almost everything. Sometimes it'll find alternative ways around a heavily fortified area, if not, it'll sometimes use artillery on it or key units such as mortars. Other than that, it's closer to the 'authentic' CoH experience, where it's like player on player, equal terms etc, but yeah.īehavior wise, if anyone's curious on how they act, it appears to learn like the C&C 3 AI does. I have had a match recently against a American AI and it fielded 4 HMG teams, 4 Jeeps, two Airborne squads, 2 Engineer squads and 2 AT guns and the population was still at something like 24/74. ![]() But, it does cheat in regards to the population cap. Okay, I have done alot of testing with the AI and have noticed through some replays that on Easy difficulty it doesn't cheat with resources and it doesn't seem to know where hidden snipers are (I've had them cloaked nearby and their units just walked right past them) etc.
